And for 5.1 sources, the side channels are extremely weak. Getting dialogue from all channels is not what I want, even CMSS-3D Xpand does it better. For Stereo It just copies sound to all channels. However, regular SD videos and DVDs work great. Also, it doesn't support HD-DVDs, so I assume it's not going to support Blu-Rays either. 5 1 UPMIX SOFTWARE DOWNLOAD MOVIEOnly way to play them decent was without seeking (fast forwarding), but that is retarded because I don't always watch a movie from the beginning, specially during testing. 5 1 UPMIX SOFTWARE DOWNLOAD 1080PI also tried the 1080p trailers from the Apple website, and those lagged less, but still unwatchable. Well, so I tried Nero ShowTime 9 but it doesn't completely work. ![]() Ok, thanks for reading, and some advise is appreciated.Ĭlick to expand. Thanks for the link man, but here's my take after testing it: ![]() But maybe I don't have the receiver set up properly. My old Z-5500 and my new speakers sound very similar, and I think is my current X-Fi that is limiting the quality. I can live with a software solution, which is what I prefer for now, but I'm going to replace the sound card eventually. Also, I'm not sure if the daughter board is gonna fit in my pc, since my 285Gtx is between the only 2 PCIex1 slots, and I need those analog plugs. Only problem is no EAX support, but I'm going to test some games that allow me to turn it off, to see if the difference is really worth it. 5 1 UPMIX SOFTWARE DOWNLOAD DRIVERSAlso, seems the drivers have improved a lot in the past couple of months, according to what I read. Has a better DAC, and from screenshots seems to support Pro Logic IIx upmixing in the console, so I can upmix with any player. Now I think the Asus Xonar HDAV1.3 Deluxe is a better choice. I was planning to replace my soundcard to the upcoming new Auzentech X-Fi HomeTheater HD, but now I'm afraid It will have same problem. I also tested Transformers (hd-dvd) and somehow looks lower quality compared to PowerDVD9. I re-tested TotalMedia Theater 3 with some stereo video, and it doesn't upmix all the time, only certain audio codecs. No upmixing needed, the 7.1 support is native. I tested Call of Duty 4, Crysis, and Unreal Tournament 3, and they all work perfect in 7.1 with CMSS-3D off. Ok, I think I'm covered as far as gaming. So, is there any other solution? Free if possible, because I don't enjoy having to pay for each version released, like PowerDVD. I also tried tried TotalMedia Theater 3 trial, but it doesn't allow me to listen to 5.1 sound because it's a trial. So far I'm using VLC because it plays EVERYTHING, which is nice, but it doesn't upmix, only downmix. I tried PowerDVD9, but it doesn't support MKVs. So, is there software that supports Pro-Logic IIx upmixing, free if possible. Maybe that's how the game is, I need to test a few others. Gunfire doesn't feel like it coming from the center channel, but all the rest works flawless. As for games, I tested Unreal Tournament 3, but that seems to work fine. Problem is that CMSS-3D on my X-Fi is not upmixing 5.1 movies to 7.1, only Stereo to 7.1. Hi guys, here I am again with a new problem.Ī few days ago I received my speakers from tSc, 7.1 setup, and got them connected to a Onkyo TX-SR606 receiver by analog. ![]()
